[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 홍남표 창원특례시장은 31일, 정성시 신임 LH 경남지역본부장의 내방을 받고, 상호 협력 사항에 대한 의견을 나눴다.
창원시는 미래 먹거리 50년 조성을 위해, 국가산단 2.0 조성과 원전산단 특화산업 조성에 LH지역본부와 지속적이고 긴밀한 협조가 필요한 만큼 지속적인 협력을 요청했다.
청년과 여성, 고령자 등을 위한 1인 안심 주택과 청년들을 위한 프로그램 개발, 일자리 창출, 연계시스템 개발, 문화·예술·관광 도시로 이미지 변신을 위해서도 LH지역본부의 협력을 요청했다.
창원은 4대 특례시 중 유일하게 해안선을 끼고 있어 이와 관련한 관광산업 활성화를 위해 노력하고 있으며, 연계사업을 통해 청년이 살고 싶어하는 도시로 핫 플레이스를 많이 개발해야 한다며 의견을 모았다.
홍 시장은 “창원은 해안선은 있으나 걸을 수 있는 해안선이 없어 관광개발에서 늘 빠져 있었지만, 이제는 바다와 항만이 연계된 관광지 개발을 해야 하는 만큼 작은 힘이라도 모아야 한다”고 밝혔다.
이에 정성시 지역본부장도 “창원시가 계획하고 있는 산업단지와 청년들을 위한 장기 임대주택 등 지역 현안사업에 적극 협력해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
