[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 2일 창원시립합창단 예술감독 겸 상임지휘자로 공기태 예술감독(사진 왼쪽 네번째)을, 창원시립소년소녀합창단 상임지휘자로 김철수 지휘자(사진 오른쪽 두 번째)를 위촉했다고 밝혔다.

창원시는 지난 1월 공개채용 공고를 통해 실력 있는 지휘자들의 많은 관심과 지원 속에 2월 1차 서류전형과 2차 면접전형을 진행했으며, 이번 위촉식에는 창원시립예술단노조 지회장과 단무장 등이 참석한 가운데 많은 축하와 격려 속에 창원시립예술단장인 조명래 제2부시장이 위촉장을 수여했다.

공기태 예술감독은 2019년부터 창원시립합창단을 이끌며 수준 높은 공연으로 관객들의 호평을 받아왔으며, 다시 한번 이번 공개채용을 통해 최종합격자로 확정되어 창원시립합창단을 이끌게 됐다.

김철수 지휘자는 김해시립소년소녀합창단 지휘자를 역임하고 뛰어난 지휘 실력과 경력을 고루 갖춘 자로 전임 지휘자 사퇴 이후, 지난 3년여간 공석이었던 창원시립소년소녀합창단의 상임지휘자 자리가 메워지면서 합창단에 새로운 의욕과 활력을 불어넣어 줄 것으로 기대된다.

창원시립예술단장인 조명래 제2부시장은 “이번 공개채용을 통해 창원시립예술단의 교향악단․합창단․무용단․소년소녀합창단 예술감독과 지휘자가 모두 위촉되어 더욱 뛰어난 역량과 지도력을 갖추게 되었다”며, “앞으로 창원시립예술단이 소통과 조화를 통해 시민들에게 한층 즐거운 공연을 선사하는 예술단이 되길 바란다.”고 말했다.
