[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 박완수 경상남도지사는 지난 25일 누리호 3차 발사의 성공적인 결과를 접하고 누리호 개발에 참여한 과학계와 기업인들에게 축하의 메시지를 전했다.

박 도지사는 “우리 기술로 이루어진 누리호 발사의 성공을 진심으로 축하하며 대한민국의 우주개발에 새로운 전기를 마련하는 계기가 되어 뜻깊다”며 “우주항공청 사천 개청, 우주산업클러스터 조성을 통해 대한민국이 우주산업의 경쟁력을 높이고 우주강국으로 도약하는 데 경남이 주도적인 역할을 해나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

한국항공우주연구원 자료에 따르면 누리호 3차 개발에는 38개의 주요 기업이 참여했으며 경남에 소재한 기업은 11개 기업으로, 이날 현장에는 한화에어로스페이스(주), 한국항공우주산업(주) 등 경남을 대표하는 우주기업 관계자들이 함께 참관해 누리호 3차 발사 성공을 축하했다.

이번 누리호 3차 발사는 실용급 위성을 수송하는 최초의 실전 발사로 국내외 이목을 집중시켰다. 특히 체계종합기업인 한화에어로스페이스가 발사에 처음으로 참여함으로써 민간이 주도하는 우주개발(뉴스페이스) 시대로의 전환에 첫걸음을 내딛게 됐다는 데 큰 의미가 있다.
