[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 홍태용 김해시장은 추석을 앞두고 22일 외동시장과 삼방시장을 방문해 추석 성수품 가격동향을 점검하고 상인들을 격려하며 민생 현장을 살폈다.  

최근 집중호우와 폭염, 공공요금 인상 등으로 매출이 감소하고 일본 원전 오염수 방류로 위축된 시장 상인들을 위해 직원들과 함께 전통시장 소비 촉진과 물가안정 캠페인에도 참여했다. 

특히 홍 시장은 온누리상품권으로 국내산 수산물 등 추석 성수품을 구매하면서 생활 물가를 꼼꼼히 살폈고 상인들과 전통시장을 찾은 시민들에게서 체감경기와 지역경제 상황 등 현장의 목소리를 들었다. 이날 구입한 각종 물품은 지역 복지시설에 기부했다. 

전통시장을 찾은 홍 시장은 “물가 상승과 일본 오염수 방류로 어려움을 겪는 많은 소상공인과 시민 모두가 따뜻한 추석 명절을 보낼 수 있도록 물가안정과 지역경제 활성화에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

김해시청 구내식당은 하루 평균 700명이 넘는 인원이 점심을 먹는 만큼 이 기간 동안 직원들은 500㎏ 내외의 수산물을 소비하며 수산물 소비 활성화에 동참했다. 또 국내 수산물 소비 촉진을 위해 지난 18일부터 21일까지 직원 식당에서 ‘우리 수산물 먹는 주간’를 진행해 국내산 삼치, 꽃게, 아귀, 오징어, 조개 등을 활용한 메뉴를 중식으로 제공했다. 

한편 김해시는 추석 물가안정관리대책을 수립하고 다음 달 3일까지 물가안정대책종합상황실과 합동점검반을 운영해 가격담합, 매점매석행위, 가격표시제 불이행 등 주요 성수품 불공정거래행위와 특히 일본 원전 오염수 방류에 따른 일본산 수산물 원산지 위반 여부를 집중 단속 중이다.
