[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 대상공원 주민 A씨는 이번 창원시가 발표한 감사 중간 발표를 보고 "창원시 발표를 두고 지난 정권 때리기라고 말하는 사람들이 있는 것 같은데, 대상공원 원주민들은 대대로 살아오던 터전이던 집과 땅을 개발이라는 이유로 말도 안되는 가격으로 빼앗겼는데 이를 바로 잡아달라는 것이 정권과 무슨 상관이 있느냐"며 울분을 토했다.  

 

창원시가 지난 9일 감사관을 통해 사화·대상공원 민간특례사업 감사 중간 발표를 위한 기자회견을 자청하고, 지난 민선7기에서 진행된 대형 사업에 대해 의혹이 제기되거나 문제가 있는 사업들을 발표했다. 

 

신병철 감사관은 감사 배경에 대해 지난 9월 13일 창원시의회 임시회에서 구점득 의원이 지적한 사화공원 특례사업에 대해 문제점이 있다는 점을 제기해 감사를 착수하게 됐다고 설명했다.

감사 대상에는 사화공원과 대상공원 민간특례개발사업으로, 각각 9천억 원 대의 대형 사업이다. 창원시 발표에 따르면 민간사업자는 공원 전체 부지를 매입해 개발하고, 전체 부지 중 70%를 창원시에 기부해야 하는데 그러지 못했다며, 결국 창원시에 총 1,051억 원 상당의 재정적 손해를 끼쳤다는 것이다.
