[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 16일 창원컨벤션센터(CECO)에서 창원 미래 50년 발전의 계획 기반을 출발하는 ‘2023 창원 산업혁신 포럼’을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

창원시정연구원과 공동 주최로 개최한 이날 행사에는 홍남표 창원특례시장, 김이근 창원특례시의회 의장, 창원시정연구원, 한국산업단지공단, 마산자유무역지역관리원, 산업 분야 기관‧단체 및 산업분야 전문가, 관련 기업체 등 80여명이 참석해 창원특례시의 미래산업 혁신성장 전략과 공업지역 제도에 대해 논의했다.

주제 발표자로 나선 이우배 인제대학교 교수가 ‘산업단지 관련 도시정책 수립 방향-미국 러스트벨트 중심(사례)’, 권영필 대한국토‧도시계획학회 이사는 ‘도시공업지역법 제정의 의미’, 박형준 창원시정연구원 연구위원은 ‘창원특례시 공업지역 변천 과정과 나아갈 방향’을 주제로 발표했다.

발표에 이어 황인식 창원시정연구원 부원장이 좌장을 맡아 이재희 한국산업단지공단 책임연구원, 윤병훈 토지주택연구원 책임연구원, 동진우 경남연구원 연구위원, 서성희 도시계획기술사가 산업분야 및 도시공간 전문가로서 토론에 참여해 창원시 미래 50년을 위한 혁신성장을 위한 종합 토론을 진행하였고, 이후 질의 답변의 시간을 가졌다.

홍남표 창원특례시장은 “봉암‧중리공단 등 일반적인 공업지역은 시대 흐름에 발맞춰 문화‧정주‧관광의 기능이 어우러진 복합공간으로의 재탄생이 필요하다”며 “오늘 발표된 내용을 산업분야 각계각층의 사람들과 함께 논의해 미래산업 혁신성장 전략으로 삼고, 지역발전을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
