[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 1일 상남분수광장을 시작으로 용호동 문화의거리, 오동동, 합성동 상가거리, 중원로터리에 ‘빛의거리’를 조성하고 내년 3월까지 매일 일몰 시각에 점등하고 환하게 불 밝힌다.

창원시는 야간 볼거리로 활기찬 거리 문화를 만들기 위해 지난 2016년 처음 조성한 ‘빛의거리 경관 조명 사업’이 지역 상권 활성화 등으로 호응을 얻고 있어 매년 이어가고 있다.

올해 빛의거리는 △성산구 상남동 분수광장 △성산구 용호동 문화의거리(용지로153번길) △마산합포구 오동동 불종거리 △마산회원구 합성동 상가거리(합성옛길·합성남7길) △진해구 중원로터리 일원에서 만날 수 있다. 

1일 점등식을 시작으로 상남동 분수광장 내 조형물에 일제히 불을 밝히며, ‘사랑의 여행, 희망의 광장’이라는 주제로 LED나무와 포토존을 설치해 시민들에게 아름다운 빛과 함께 예쁜 추억의 공간으로 조성했다.

김은자 문화관광체육국장은 “아름다운 빛의거리 조명이 도심 거리에 활력을 입혀 내년에는 창원시민 여러분의 얼굴에 웃음꽃이 활짝 피어나기를 바란다”고 말했다.
