[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경남도는 기후변화 등으로 대형화되는 재난·재해에 과학적이고 선제적으로 대응하기 위해, 재난안전 분야 기술혁신에 본격적인 시동을 건다.

 

경남도는 행안부의 2025년 재난안전분야 연구개발 공모사업을 추진하고, 연구개발(R&D) 예산을 확보하기 위해, 시군, 재난안전연구센터, 기업 등과 협업하여 재난안전 분야에서 17건의 신규 과제를 발굴했다고 밝혔다. 

 

경남도는 올해 발굴한 과제를 활용하여 2025년 행안부 지역 맞춤형 연구개발 사업과 과기부 주관 공모사업 등에 지원할 예정이다.

 

이에 실효성 있는 연구개발 소재를 발굴하고, 재난안전분야 기술개발을 선도하기 위해, 재난안전연구센터, 대학, 전문기관, 기업 등 민관의 다양한 전문가가 참여하는 ‘경상남도 재난안전 연구개발(R&D) 협의체’를 운영하고 있다.

 

협의체는 정례회의 등을 통해 경남의 재난안전 특성과 재난안전대응 역량 강화에 필요한 첨단기술에 대해 토론하고, 국가 연구개발과제 수주를 위한 아이디어를 발굴하는 등의 역할을 하고 있다.

 

활발한 민관 협업을 바탕으로 지난해에는 행안부의 ‘지하상수관로 지반침하 변형 대응 신축관 이음 및 변형예측 기반 위험 모니터링 시스템 개발’과 과기부의 ‘디지털 트윈 기반 도시침수 스마트 대응 시스템 실증사업’ 등 2건의 공모에 선정되어 국비 70억원을 확보하는 성과를 거뒀다.

 

또 재난안전 사각지대 해소를 위한 드론 영상관제 시스템을 구축하는 등 첨단기술을 활용한 입체적인 재난안전 상황관리를 선도하고 있다.

 

특히 행안부 공모사업은 과제 선정과 사업 수행자 선정의 2단계 공모 과정을 거치는데, 경남도의 재난안전 연구개발 전담기관인 ‘경상남도 재난안전연구센터’가 포함된 컨소시엄이 사업 수행자로 최종 선정됐다.

 

이번 사업 수행자 선정으로 재난안전연구센터는 과제발굴뿐만 아니라, 국비와 연구개발비 확보로 도 예산 절감에도 기여하고 있다.
