[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 지난 9일 우리누리청소년문화센터 실내수영장에서 제18회 장애인곰두리수영대회를 해군 특수전전단(UDT/SEAL) 장병, 자원봉사자, 장애인 선수와 가족 등 200여 명이 참여한 가운데 성황리에 개최했다고 10일 밝혔다. 

(사)창원시장애인부모회(회장 장연정) 주최로 개최된 이번 대회는 장애인들이 수영을 통해 새로운 신체적 감각을 키우고 치료적 관점에서 재활치료 등의 긍정적인 효과를 보일 뿐만 아니라, 장애인과 비장애인이 어울릴 수 있는 화합의 장이 되기 위해 마련되었으며 올해로 18회를 맞았다.

해군 특수전전단 장병들의 수영시범으로 시작된 대회는 종목별 발차기, 자유형, 배영, 평형, 접영 경기 순으로 진행되었으며, 번외경기로 장애인 가족과 함께하는 프로그램이 이어졌다. 또한, 행사에 참여한 가족과 장애인들이 함께 하는 가족프로그램으로 단체 릴레이, 색판 뒤집기, 공 줍기와 장외 프로그램으로 부채 만들기, 그립톡 만들기 등 장애 특성에 맞는 다양한 프로그램이 함께 진행됐다.
