[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시 창원보건소 치매안심센터는 지난 24일 한들공원에서 시민 300여명이 참석한 가운데 2023년 한마음 치매극복 걷기 행사를 성황리에 마쳤다고 30일 밝혔다.

 

4년 만에 대면 행사로 진행된 이번 행사는 ‘치매 애(愛) 희망을 나누다’라는 주제로 치매 예방에 도움이 되는 ‘걷기’ 활동을 통해 일상에서 걷기를 생활화하고, 치매에 대한 인식개선을 위해 마련됐다. 중앙무대 앞에서 단체 치매예방체조를 시작으로 걷기 코스를 걸으며, 치매 예방 퀴즈 스탬프 이벤트에 참여하신 분께는 기념품도 제공했다. 

 

특히 부대행사로 의창소방서, 창원시체육회를 비롯한 여러 유관기관과 연계, 심폐소생술 교육 체험, 뉴스포츠체험, 혈압·혈당 검사 등 다양한 체험부스도 마련하여 큰 호응을 얻었다.

 

행사에 참여한 한 시민은 “따뜻한 봄날에 가족과 함께 걸으며 소소한 행복을 만끽했고, 치매에 대한 다양한 정보도 얻는 유익한 시간이었다”고 소감을 밝혔다.

 

정혜정 창원보건소장은 “코로나19 장기화로 그동안 비대면으로 진행했던 행사를 대면으로 전환해 시민들과 함께 걸을 수 있어 매우 기쁘다”며 “이번 걷기 행사를 통해 치매 예방에 도움이 되는 걷기를 생활화하고 치매에 대한 인식 전환의 계기가 됐으면 한다”고 말했다.
